At Nutritional Foundations, you can achieve your health and weight loss goals if you’re fully committed to the process… and to yourself. I work one-on-one with my clients on finding each person’s version of “optimal.” There are four main premises that have given me a 100% success rate with my clients:
We take a bio-individual approach to your health – it says it right there in the logo. This means that no two clients receive the same guidelines or protocols. The information you get from me is customized because no two bodies are the same. This is where mainstream diet culture gets it wrong – blanket statements and one-size-fits-all recommendations have only gotten us fatter and sicker over the decades. It’s time for personalized nutrition!
We support the most basic, but most important, foundational inputs first and then build from there. This looks like dialing in appropriate food choices for your body in the season of life that you’re in and incorporating lifestyle modifications that best support your healing journey. Managing your stress, scheduling enough sleep, and minimizing inflammation through food are key to finding success in life. From there, we can do things like functional testing for toxin removal and gut pathogen eradication – the more complex, detailed stuff – but NOT before addressing the basic tenants of your humanity.
I help you learn to recognize, identify, and respond to your body’s signals. The body is a wise being and does nothing by accident, so learning how to first get those signals on your radar is important – especially to transform your relationship with food and understand your biology. Once you notice these signals, we need to get you interpreting what they mean and I will arm you with the tools you’ll need to troubleshoot your own diet and health in the future, long after we’re finished working together, so that the chances of you needing professional support ever again are slim to none. No two versions of yourself are the same, either – so learning how to adapt with age is important.
I do not patch you up and send you on your way; we get to the root cause of your health issues and address digestive function as our primary goal, because that’s where the majority of those issues stem from. Digestive dysfunction can affect the immune system, which in turn affects mental health, hormonal imbalances, skin health, chronic disease risk, autoimmunity, fertility challenges, and so much more.
Many of my clients have exhausted all their options – different doctors, specialists, alternative healthcare fields, online resources – only to be left confused and overwhelmed, worse off than before, or told there’s nothing but lifetime medication that can help them… and most of the time, it doesn’t have to be that way.
Who is nutritional therapy for?
This kind of work can be good for anyone, quite honestly. Digestive dysfunction happens to all of us — so there’s nobody who couldn’t benefit, especially as it pertains to stool testing and eradicating gut infections like opportunistic bacteria or parasites.
Something worth noting, since it’s rare to find: I also work with pregnant and lactating mothers as well as children of all ages. There’s plenty of things we can do to support the health in these populations — especially when the mainstream health culture seems to forget about these groups all too often. Just know that if you or your loved ones fall into one of these categories, there is hope for you here.
But I don’t just work with women and kids. I’ve had clients ranging from a baby just a few months old to someone in their late 80s. I’ve had male and female clients, parents, world travelers, career-drivers, homesteaders, blue- and white- collar workers — you name it. Regardless of your life circumstance, we can get you to your goals.
Not convinced just yet? That’s okay.
